Common questions

The app says it is not the selected mock location app

Android requires you to pick a mock location app in Developer options. Open Settings → System → Developer options → Select mock location app and choose GPS-Go. If Developer options is not visible, go to Settings → About phone and tap Build number 7 times to unlock it. The in-app setup checklist walks you through this and the other permissions.

Simulation stops when the screen is off or app is in background

Android's power management may terminate background services to save battery. Go to Settings → Apps → GPS-Go → Battery (or App battery usage) and select Unrestricted. You can also open this setting from the in-app setup checklist.

Some apps still show my real location

Apps that verify location integrity, or that read location through their own means, can detect or ignore a mocked position. GPS-Go feeds the standard Android location providers; it cannot guarantee that every third-party app will accept the simulated position.

The floating joystick does not appear

The joystick needs the "Display over other apps" permission. Grant it from the in-app setup checklist or from Settings → Apps → GPS-Go → Display over other apps.

How do I change my ad consent choice?

In the app, go to Settings → About → Privacy Options. This entry appears where consent applies. See the privacy policy for details.

How do I delete my data?

All data is stored on your device and can be deleted in the app. Uninstalling GPS-Go removes everything.

Responsible use

GPS-Go simulates the location of your own device, for testing, development, and privacy purposes. Do not use it to deceive other people or to violate the terms of any service you use. You are responsible for how you use it.
